Apple Roundup: iPhone 5, Texas, iPhone Case

The top Apple(AAPL) stories from across the 'net include iPhone rumors and specs, Apple beefing up its Texas reach, and iPhone case makers hinting at a 4-inch device. BGR is reporting that the iPhone 5 will release in the fall, and will have LTE capabilities. These rumors, of course, have swirled for months. Apple's iPhone 5: What to Expect The Web site also mentions that the next iPhone will have near field communication (NFC) capabilities, something that has been speculated about for months. BGR is certain the next Apple phone will have this capability. BGR reports that the iPhone is not in production just yet, but in its third round of testing, known as the EVT3 stage. Apple could not be immediately reached for comment for this story. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The tech giant is continuing to move ahead with its campus in Austin, Texas, recently purchasing land in the state, according to the 9to5Mac Web site.
