iPhone 5 vs. iPod touch 5 camera test

iMore has made a parallel between the camera capabilities of the two devices. The iPhone 5 comes with an 8-megapixel camera and the iPod touch 5 features a 5-megapixel camera. The site writes that the full-resolution dimensions of the photos made with the iPod touch 5 are smaller than those of the iPhone 5. As for print sizes, for printing at 200 ppi, photos made with the iPod touch can print up to 9″x12,” while photos from the iPhone 5 can print up to 12″x16″. If you print at 300 ppi, iPod touch photos can print up to 6″x8″ images and iPhone 5 photos print up to 8″x10″. In terms of general photography, the site notes that the iPhone 5 photos “are more vibrant, have more contrast, and are a little warmer,” while the iPod touch 5 photos seem “a little flat” when compared to those made with the iPhone 5.
iPod touch 5 vs. iPhone 5 The two cameras’ macro photography capabilities appear to be similar, especially regarding their ability to focus. A parallel between photos taken in low-light reveals that the iPhone 5 is better than the iPod touch 5.
iPod touch 5 vs. iPhone 5 Both devices feature the same front-facing 1.2-megapixel FaceTime HD camera, but the comparison showed that the iPod touch 5 photos have a warmer tone than the iPhone 5. Panoramic photography is also similar on the iPod touch 5 and iPhone 5 cameras, but the iPhone 5 offers more contrast and a slightly warmer tone.

Apple iPhone 5 vs iPhone 4S vs Galaxy S3

Well let’s take a look! OS : The iPhone 4S was shipped with iOS6 – same for the iPhone 5. The Samsung Galaxy S3 will shipped with Android 4.1 as reported earlier. iOS vs Android – your pick. Display Size : The iPhone 5 has a 4 inch display while the iPhone 4S has a 3.5 inch display. Here the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a much larger 4.8 inch display. Personal preference here. Resolution : The iPhone 5 has an IPS ‘retina’ LCD display with a resolution of 136×640 resolution with 326 ppi (pixels-per-inch), as does the iPhone 4S, though with an 900X640 due to its smaller screen. The Galaxy S3 has a Super AMOLED display, 1280X720 pixels, 306 ppi. As for which looks better? Reviews are mixed – beauty is in the eye of the beholder here. Processor : All three phones have powerful processors from different manufacturers. There’s an A6 Quad-Core in the iPhone 5, a Dual-Core 1GHZ in the iPhone 4S, and Quad-Core 1.4Ghz for the S3. Front Camera : The iPhone 5 gets an upgrade to 1.2 mega pixel front camera from the VGA camera in the iPhone 4S. The Galaxy S3 beats the iPhone by haveing a superior 1.9 mega pixel front camera. Rear Camera : With good photo capturing capabilities being a necessity these days in any smartphone, the iPhone hasn’t improved from the 4S, still going with an 8 mega pixel rear camera. The same is with the Galaxy S3. Connectivity : All the three phones have WiFi and Bluetooth. The iPhone 4S was a 3G phone. The iPhone 5 and Galaxy S3 are both 4G. Storage : Apple iPhones have never supported a MicroSD card, and, unfortunately, the iPhone 5 keeps that tradition alive. But there are three variations in the models, 16/32/64GB. The S3 has two versions 16/32GB, which can be augmented with a up to a 64GB MicroSD. Battery : The iPhone 5 can go upto 8 hrs (3G talk/data use) while the S3 can go upto 11 hrs (3G talk/data use). Build : With the aluminium unibody, the iPhones definitely have better build quality than the Samsung Galaxy S3, which has a plastic body. Looking at these specs, the iPhone is a solid phone, but may lack the oomph factor usually associated with an iPhone. Shoppers who are first time iPhone owners will definitely like the new iPhone, but for present users… the new iPhone may not be as attractive. wholesale accessories, ipod accessories, ipad accessories, iphone accessories

iPhone 5 vs. iPhone 4S: Screen Protector Shows Size Comparison

Apple won’t announce the iPhone 5 until tomorrow but thanks to leaks and rumors accessory manufacturers already have their new products ready for the device. While most case manufacturers won’t talk about their designs for the new iPhone 5, a few are already talking and willing to give us samples. Spigen SGP makes a line of screen protectors it calls GLAS.t. The GLAS.t line is the first line of screen protectors made of tempered glass, and it’s also one of the first line of protectors to support the iPhone 5 before launch. The company gave us one of its iPhone 5 screen protectors to try when the phone comes out, but it also serves as a good comparison of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S. Spigen built its iPhone 5 screen protector based on the rumors and leaks of the iPhone 5. the photo below shows the iPhone 4S screen protector to the left of an iPhone 5 screen protector, giving a better idea of how much taller the iPhone 5 is.
iPhone 4s screen protector compared to iPhone 5 screen protector. The iPhone 5 screen protector is taller than the iPhone 4S model, but is the same width. When placed on an iPhone 4S the width fits perfectly, but the top extends past the phone’s edge. The home button is also changed on the iPhone 5 front panel. The button is closer to the bottom of the device, and is a bit smaller. We assume both of these changes are to make room for the taller screen.
The iPhone 5 screen protector is taller than the iPhone 4S, and uses a smaller lower home button opening. Spigen is confident in its design for the iPhone 5 screen protector, but it will replace it with a new model if Apple’s design is different. The screen protector is available now for $27.99 from it’s website. Apple will announce the iPhone 5 tomorrow, September 12. The rumored iPhone 5 release date is just nine days after the announcement on September 21. The new iPhone will likely have 4G LTE, a slightly larger battery, and a smaller dock connector.

iPhone 5 release date: new iPhone sales could save the US economy, analyst says

As the iPhone 5 launch is one day away, analyst speculation brings some interesting theories.
J.P. Morgan’s chief economist Michael Feroli believes that the handset could boost the U.S.’s GDP growth rate by 0.25 to 0.5 points in the fourth quarter. “Thus, calculated using the so-called retail control method, sales of iPhone 5 could boost Q4 GDP by $3.2 billion, or $12.8 billion at an annual rate,” Feroli wrote. That 0.33 percentage-point boost, he writes, “would limit the downside risk to our Q4 GDP growth protection, which remains 2.0 percent.” Feroli noted that when the iPhone 4S was launched in October last year, it exceeded all sales expectations. “Given the iPhone 5 launch is expected to be much larger, we think the estimate mentioned … is reasonable,” he wrote. However, the analyst adds that the estimated GDP boost “seems fairly large, and for that reason should be treated skeptically.” According to Reuters, J.P. Morgan’s analysts project that Apple will sell 8 million iPhone 5s in the fourth quarter and expect the sales price to be about $600. The iPhone 5 is expected to be unveiled at a live keynote on Wednesday, alongside refreshed versions of the iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano and iPod Touch. wholesale accessories, ipod accessories, iphone accessories, ipad accessories

iPhone 4S Or Samsung Galaxy S3: The Public Has Decided

Just recently The Inquirer compared the Samsung Galaxy S3 to the iPhone 4S, taking in aspects like performance, OS, design and build, connectivity, software, camera, storage and battery. The cameras, it seems, were level-pegging, and while the Samsung Galaxy S3 held sway over the iPhone 4S in many ways, the iPhone 4S won out in usability and overall inched forward. Well readers didn’t agree though, and wrote in in droves to tell the publication what they really thought. Samsung Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 4S review verdict criticized One reader told The Inquirer how using the Samsung Galaxy S3 for just an hour made the iPhone 4S feel more like a housebrick. The small screen of the iPhone 4S, said another, made for great typos. Still another bigged up the Samsung Galaxy S3 screen, saying it was perfect for watching films. The Samsung Galaxy S3 sleek lines and faster chip won it a lot of fans too. Most of the people who got back to The Inquirer were firmly in Camp Samsung, although a few readers were waiting for the iPhone 5 to strut its stuff before pinning their colors to either mast. One thing really did stand out, though, and that’s the fact that readers overwhelmingly (nine out of ten) think the Samsung Galaxy S3 beats the iPhone 4S. Once the iPhone 5 hits the town, though, this could all change. wholesale accessories, iphone accessories, ipod accessories, ipad accessories

Nokia Lumia 920 vs Apple iPhone 4S

Nokia Lumia 920 vs Apple iPhone 4S – fight The long-awaited iPhone 5 might be set to dethrone the iPhone 4S onSeptember 12th – but that just means you'll be able to snap up an iPhone 4S for a bargain price. Nokia's hoping to make you think twice before pocketing Apple's proven iPhone, so let's see what the Finnish mobile giant has brought to the table with the Nokia Lumia 920. Read our iPhone 4S review Nokia Lumia 920 vs Apple iPhone 4S – design and build Apple's iPhone 4S is nearing its first birthday but it's still oozing with sophistication thanks to its impeccably built solid aluminium and glass design. The Nokia Lumia's eye-catching polycarbonate unibody shell, however, comes in a veritable rainbow of bright, refreshing hues – and its durable construction should mean you don't suffer the painful and all too common iShatter effect when you eventually drop it. Nokia Lumia 920 vs Apple iPhone 4S – screen The Nokia Lumia 920's pixel-packed 1280x768 resolution places it just a few pixels-per-inch short of the infamous iPhone 4S Retina Display – an impressive feat considering that it's a whole inch bigger. With automatically adjusting colours and anti-glare tech to boot, the Lumia 920's IPS LCD display should do justice to Windows Phone 8's bold colours and crisp clean lines – your eyes will like what they see. Nokia Lumia 920 vs Apple iPhone 4S – OS and power There's no denying that iOS trounces the Windows Phone Marketplace in the apps department, but we expect to see an influx of apps hitting Windows Phone 8 once Windows 8 and Windows RT are released in late October. If you're locked into the Apple ecosystem with iTunes and have a horde of iDevices gracing your abode then it will be hard (and a little scary) stepping into the Microsoft camp, but with fancy new indoor navigation, more live tile functionality and screenshots to boot, the Nokia Lumia 920 is set to be the most polished Lumia device to date. The original Lumia 800 and 900 were zippy enough, but we couldn't help feeling a little let down by their single-core processor firepower – but the inclusion of Qualcomm's 1.5Ghz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor in the Lumia 920 should keep Windows Phone 8 running smoothly. Nokia Lumia 920 vs Apple iPhone 4S – camera Apple's justifiably proud of the impressive detail and clarity it's achieved with the 8MP camera sported by the iPhone 4S. Nokia is hoping to challenge it with its PureView labelled 8MP sensor, which can collect up to ten times more light than its competition. Plus its floating lens tech reduces motion blur in low-light pictures, and an array of Lens apps makes image editing a cinch. The Nokia Lumia 920 may not sport the monster 41MP sensor found in the Nokia 808 PureView, but it's by no means a dissapointment for shutterbugs. Nokia Lumia 920 vs Apple iPhone 4S – verdict Apple and Microsoft. iOS and Windows Phone 8. You couldn't ask for a greater contrast in the mobile arena and both the iPhone 4S and Nokia Lumia 920 offer enough features to whet the appetite of any mobile aficionado. Whether or not you're willing to place your faith in future Windows 8 apps, there's no denying that in the Lumia 920, Nokia has created a colourful, exciting handset that is well worth your consideration when eyeing up your next pocketable mobile companion. Isn't competition wonderful? wholesale accessories, ipod accessories, ipad accessories, iphone accessories

Samsung Galaxy S 3 Crushes Apple iPhone 4 S, Now Highest Selling Smartphone

Ring every bell in every tower: The beast is slain! For the first time since Apple's iPhone 4S debuted in October 2011, the phone has been dethroned as the number one selling smartphone in the United States. All hail the conquering hero: Samsung Galaxy S III. Selling more than 10 million Galaxy S III smartphones, and more than 10 million Galaxy Note phones.Samsung has flexed considerable muscle this summer. During the second quarter, the company shipped nearly twice as many smartphones as Apple. What remains to be seen is whether the company can hold on to its market position once Apple begins selling the iPhone 5, widely rumored to be released Sept. 21. In August, the Galaxy S III replaced the iPhone 4S as the top-selling smartphone in the United States, Canaccord Genuity analysts wrote in a Sept. 3 report. In May and June, the iPhone 4S was the top-selling device at AT&T, Verizon Wireless and Sprint. On June 21 the Galaxy S III became available in the United States, and by July, it was sharing the title with Apple, leading sales at T-Mobile (which doesn't offer an iPhone) and Verizon while the iPhone continued to dominate at AT&T and Sprint. In August, the iPhone 4S held on only at AT&T, with the Galaxy S III as the carrier's second-best-selling phone, while the Galaxy S III dominated at Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint. At Verizon, the iPhone 4S was even outsold by the Motorola Razr Maxx, also priced at $199. While sales of Apple's 10-month-old phone are understandably slowing at this point, Canaccord analysts fully expect a strong Apple comeback. "Our checks indicated strong consumer interest in and likely demand for the iPhone 5, and we believe Apple will return to strong No. 1 smartphone share in the U.S. post the iPhone 5 launch," according to the report. On Sept. 4, Apple sent out enigmatic invitations to an event on Sept. 12 at which it's expected to introduce the iPhone 5. If the rumors are correct, Apple will begin selling the device Sept. 21. And if analyst forecasts are correct, Apple will sell a record number of smartphones. "We anticipate an LTE iPhone 5 with a new hardware form factor will result in record iPhone sales and result in Apple reclaiming top share in the U.S. market," wrote the Canaccord analysts. "We believe Apple's growing international channels and growing iOS base position Apple for extremely strong December quarter iPhone sales and very strong market-share gains during the important holiday selling season," analysts wrote. "As such, we believe Apple will post very strong December quarter results, regain global smartphone share during the holiday selling season and grow its leading share of industry profits." Analysts at investment firm Jefferies are also primed for record-setting sales. In a recent research note, they wrote that the newest iPhone "will be the biggest handset launch in history." But until then, the market is Samsung's. The company sold 50.5 million smartphones during the June quarter, according to the Canaccord report, and will continue to dominate through September. Once the iPhone 5 launches, the report noted, "we anticipate Samsung will continue to dominate Android smartphone sales but lose share to Apple during [the fourth quarter of 2012]." Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, in a Sept. 4 research note released after the Apple invites reached inboxes, wrote that should Apple indeed begin selling the iPhone Sept. 21, one week of sales could add 5 million more units to Apple's September total, driving it to approximately 28 million units. Apple sold 1.7 million iPhone 4 devices during its first three days of availability; and sold four million iPhone 4S devices a year later in the first weekend alone. According to AllThingsD, Wall Street is expecting 22-23 million iPhones to be sold during the September quarter alone, but crucially it's a good way-away from the Christmas holiday sales where many previously-bought contracts end and sales typically rocket through the roof. J.P. Morgan analyst Mark Moskowitz said also today in a research note that the new iPhone 5 will "not be hampered by chip and display-related supply chain shortages" as previously expected. He expects sales volume to balloon by late September for the new iPhone, and a similar patch of high volume selling for the dubbed-'iPad mini' in early October. "We are not concerned about a 'mini' (iPad) encroaching on Apple's current tablet penetration opportunities. We think the iPad mini will target the budget-conscious consumer or the e-reader focused end user, implying the device offers incremental penetration opportunities. Meanwhile, we do not expect enterprise- and education-based end users to gravitate to the smaller screen size of an iPad mini. Moskowitz avoided giving defined figures, but gave a revised estimated that Apple will sell around 168 million iPhones and 91 million iPads in total by the end of fiscal year 2013. By comparison, Apple sold more than 85.9 million iPhones in total in the U.S. since its launch in Q2 2007 up to Q2 2012, according to earlier court filings that were outed during the Apple v. Samsung patent ding-dong. "We expect both product lines to offset weakness in Mac and iPod," he said. sex gadget, sex toy, adult toy

Samsung Galaxy S3 Or iPhone 4S: Users Speak The Truth

Just recently, The Inquirer looked at the iPhone 4S and compared it to the hot new Samsung Galaxy S3 in terms of design and build, performance, OS, camera, battery, connectivity and storage. Samsung Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 4S: consumers voice their opinion It resulted in a tie – with The Enquirer saying that although the Samsung Galaxy S3 was better than the iPhone 4S in many ways, the iPhone 4S was much easier to use on a daily basis, which nudged it in front. The readers’ comments following the story denied this – strenuously, it seems. One Samsung Galaxy S3 owner said that the iPhone 4S seemed like a primitive old brick after just an hour with the new toy. Another decried the iPhone 4S’display for causing a lot of typos. Autocorrect was a big bugbear, and Siri was a mess. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is more powerful, looks sleeker and is great for watching movies. One user said that while he liked his iPhone 4S, the Samsung Galaxy S3 was stronger and had better specs. He described the iPhone 4S as an iPod Touch with an extra antenna and that anyone after a proper smartphone should get a S3. It may look like the posters were all about the Samsung Galaxy S3, but some did stick up for Apple, but for the iPhone 5 and not the 4S. They recommended that people wait for its release before pitting Apple against Samsung. Will the iPhone 5 manage to tempt a few Android-heads to defect? This much-vaunted device will be with us soon, so we don’t have to wait long to find out. wholesale accessories, iphone accessories, ipad accessories, ipod accessories

iPhone 4S vs Samsung Galaxy S3: Apple’s Time Is Up

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is the company’s chosen device to go head-to-head with the mighty iPhone 5 this fall. The iPhone 4S is fighting the good fight for now, but has it got a chance? Samsung Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 4S The Samsung Galaxy S3 4.8” Super AMOLED screen with the 1280x720p resolution is pretty unbeatable. The iPhone 4S’ 3.5”, 960x640p display is Retina, but still doesn’t come close. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a shade lighter than the iPhone 4S, at 133g to 140g. However, the iPhone’s size makes it more hand and pocket compatible. The iPhone 4S feels more high-end than the S3 thanks to the choice of exterior materials, so Apple has it on the design front. The S3 has a Qualcomm quad-core chip (international version) and a dual-core in the US. It has 1GB of RAM internationally and 2GB in the US. The iPhone 4S has a sparse 512MB and an 800MHz dual-core processor. It’s an obvious win for the S3 again. While both phones have 8MP rear cameras, the S3 1.9MP front camera trounces the 0.3MP Apple offering. The S3 also benefits from zero shutter lag and burst mode – both cameras have the same camera sensor – but the extra bells & whistles put the S3 in front. The iPhone 4S non-removable battery is 1,420mAH, while the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a removable 2,100mAh battery. This battery gives three times as much talking as the iPhone’s, and the S3 also has support for an external micro SD card, as well as LTE and NFC, all missing in the iPhone. The Samsung Galaxy S3 wins over the iPhone 4S, but this is because it was intended to compete against the iPhone 5. The iPhone 4S is over now, so don’t bother with it. If you really can’t wait for your upgrade, get a S3. If, for some reason, you still fancy an iPhone 4S, hang on just a bit longer, as its price will go through the floor when the iPhone 5 looms into view. wholesale accessories, ipad accessories, ipod accessories, iphone accessories

Samsung Galaxy S3 & iPhone 5: Why I Left Apple’s Bandwagon

Rumors are flying about the phones coming out before the end of the year, including the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which was recently unveiled and the iPhone 5 which is long overdue. Until they’re here, you have the Samsung Galaxy S3, which is one of the best around. The Samsung Galaxy S3 broke pre-order records and is among the fastest smartphones out there. So the big question that I faced last week when I was due for an upgrade was whether I should bag it now or wait to see what Apple has planned for the iPhone 5. iPhone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy S3: Why I stopped waiting The Samsung Galaxy S3 is available now, whereas you’re looking at another month before you can get hold of an iPhone 5 even if rumors serve true. The Samsung Galaxy S3 also has a lot to brag about, like that 4.8” screen (the iPhone 5 is rumored to have a 4” screen, which is already pushing it for this brand). Wireless charging is another Samsung Galaxy S3 advantage that the iPhone 5 isn’t likely to have. The S3 battery is removable, whereas the iPhone’s battery is non-removable and smaller. The iPhone 5 probably won’t have an external SD card (the S3 has one) and if you take a lot of videos and photos, you’ll want one. The Samsung Galaxy S3 has HDMI outputs for linking to an HDTV, but it doesn’t look like Apple is going to oblige here. JellyBean (Android 4.1) is coming to the S3 before the end of the year, with an S-Voice update and Google Now. The new S-Voice is nicer to listen to than Siri, apparently. Apple devotees will be all over the iPhone 5 whatever happens, but it still won’t beat the S3 in either hardware or software as we’ve seen in the past with battles between the Galaxy S flagships and iPhones. They merely try to match each other instead of topping. I’m neither here nor there when it comes to operating systems, so I bought a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 last week and I love it. When the iPhone 5 comes out I may end up kicking myself, but really, the pitched battles between Galaxy S and iPhone over recent years have shown that you can’t go wrong buying either one of these products. sex gadget, sex toy, adult toy

Samsung Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 5: Can Apple Reach For The Stars?

Apple have just beaten Samsung in the courts over patent infringements, and with the rumored release of the iPhone 5 being just weeks away could they be set to win again in stores by knocking the Samsung Galaxy S3 off the top spot for the best smartphone of 2012. Comparing the two handsets is difficult of course as the iPhone 5 has yet to be released and the specs are unknown. However there has been plenty of rumors going around and so we can use these until something more solid comes about. Samsung Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 5 The iPhone 5 may be coming with a larger screen of 4 inches and it may have a resolution of 1136 x 640. However the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a large 4.8 inch display of 1280 x 720 and this is something that Apple will not be able to beat. It is thought that when the iPhone 5 is released it will run iOS 6. This means that Siri will be updated, as will Facebook integration, Twitter and the new Passbook app. However the Samsung Galaxy S3 is not feature-less either as it has a ton of S-apps alongside more coming with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in a couple of weeks (Project Butter, Google Now, etc). Hence the winner will be determined by which OS you feel more comfortable with. It is thought that the battery of the iPhone 5 will be 1440mAh, but the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a battery of 2100mAh. If the iPhone 5 has the rumored LTE then quite likely the S3 would be the winner as the battery of the iPhone 5 would face major draw from LTE. Furthermore, the iPhone 5 battery is non-removable. We cannot match the processors as not much has been said about the one in the next generation iPhone 5. It is likely that the phones will be around the same for power since Samsung is known to build the processors for Apple’s devices and the last rumors put the iPhone 5 with a quad-core chipset. The iPhone 5 is said to have a new dock connector and this means that any existing accessories will not work with it, unless Apple release an adapter. Samsung on the other hand still have the same connectors they have always had and so it comes out as the winner. Both the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 are believed to come with 8MP cameras and NFC. Which is the best handset will come down to personal preference of course since both smartphones have their own set of strong points that can’t be matched. There will always be diehard fans of each handset who will swear that theirs is the best. For now we have to wait a few more weeks for the release of the iPhone 5 to see what Apple have done with it and for now the Samsung Galaxy S3 is truly out of this world as its name suggests. wholesale accessories, iphone accessories, ipod accessories, ipad accessories

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 vs iPhone 4S: Like Shooting Fish In A Barrel

Whenever a new Android flagship phone is unveiled, everyone who has a smartphone starts comparing it to the latest iPhone incarnation. This is intensified when it’s a Samsung, and it’s really bad now, after the legal showdown. The instant that Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 2, it was weighed up against the iPhone 4S. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 vs iPhone 4S It’s obvious that the Note 2 is better than the iPhone 4S, especially considering that the 4S came out last October, and the Note 2 will be out in October 2012 and already trumps the reigning Samsung Galaxy S3 in many ways (which by the way also beat the iPhone 4S in our comparison test from earlier last month). A year in tech is like a geological age, don’t forget. The more sensible question is how much better than the iPhone 4S the Note 2 is. Which is a bit daft. No, we need to see the iPhone 5 to really give the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 a run for its money. Until then, all we can do is browbeat the waning iPhone 4S. Cue evil cackle… Samsung Galaxy Note 2 vs iPhone 4s: Display, Design and Form Factor The biggest difference between the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the iPhone 4S is the screen size. Apple has maintained the same 3.5” screen since 2007, while Samsung has reached for the stars. Well, diverse screen sizes across its range, anyway. If you’re after a Samsung with a regular screen (and there’s a study that reckons the optimum smartphone screen is between 4 and 4.5”), then go for the Galaxy S3. If you want a mahoosive display, there’s the Note 2, a phablet with a 5.5” screen. The advantages of a big screen are obvious – YouTube, photos, games and all that. However, a big screen is hard to handle with just one hand – or one pocket. Smaller screens are better for all-round experience and portability, but some may find a 3.5” screen too small to really impress. Design is also a personal choice, but both the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the iPhone 4S are quite sexy. The Note 2 is like a super-sized version of the Samsung Galaxy S3, measuring 80.5×151.1x94mm. The iPhone 4S has the same design as the iPhone 4, and measures 115.2×58.6×9.3mm. Resolution-wise, the 3.5” LED backlit IPS iPhone 4S screen has 960x640p and has a density of 330PPI. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has a 5.5” Super AMOLED HD display with 1280x720p and a lower 267PPI density. PPI densities are just one parameter, but the higher the density, the crisper the image. Processor: The year-old iPhone 4S has the 18-month-old Apple A5 SoC (first used in the Apple iPad 2 back in March 2011). That means a dual-core 1GHz Cortex-A9 CPU, a PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU and 512MB of RAM. This doesn’t mean it’s slow, especially as most iPhone apps are optimised, but it can’t compete with Samsung’s new Exynos 4 SoC. As was expected, the Galaxy Note 2 uses an overclocked Exynos 4 quad SoC (the same as in the international Galaxy S3), and this has a 1.6GHz quad-core A9 chip and a Mali 400 MP GPU clocked at 400MHz. Along with its 2GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the fastest smartphone out there. Camera-wise, the Note 2 and the 4S both have an 8MP primary camera, but there’s nothing like watching your recorded HD videos back on the big, beautiful Note 2 display. Both phones come in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB internal storage flavours, but the 4S has no microSD slot, whereas the Note 2 can accept microSD cards with up to 64GB of storage. Furthermore the Galaxy Note 2 will have Jelly Bean out of the box, but this isn’t the only impressive thing about its software. There have been big improvements made to its S-Pen integration, as well as other tweaks around the S-Pen like being able to hover over a folder to see info without switching screens. There’s also improved handwriting capture and quick command functions. There are more S-Pen features to go into, which we’ll do in another update. Conclusion: This wasn’t a fair fight. The Note 2 has the latest version of Android, lightning-fast internals and is making much more of the S-Pen than the Note did. It’s a year ahead of the iPhone 4S in every way. If you don’t mind the size, and you want the best smartphone around, the Samsung Note 2 is the only sensible choice. 。 sex gadget, sex toy, adult toy
