Samsung Galaxy S3's Reign Over? iPhone 5 Features, Rumors

The battle between Apple and Samsung has intensified with Samsung's latest unveiling of the much awaited smartphone Galaxy S3. Apple is now under pressure as its next generation iPhone 5's launch is around the corner. Will it be able to stay ahead of its direct competitor Galaxy S3 in terms of innovative technology? "The Galaxy devices helped Samsung overtake Nokia Oyj as the worlds' top handset seller for the first time in the first quarter and regain the lead in the $219 billion smartphone market from Apple. Samsung is introducing a range of Galaxy phones to gain market share and compete with Apple, whose latest iPhone was unveiled seven months ago," according to a report by Bloomberg. In its latest smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S3 features a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display powered by Android 4.0 with Ice Cream Sandwich. It comes with an 8MP rear camera and 1.9MP front camera which offers a variety of intelligent camera features and face recognition related options. Samsung remains at second place, however, its smartphones and android products sales is increasing and is all set to capture Apple's top position. Samsung was reported to have earned about $5 billion and could be eating away at Apple's market share until an iPhone release date is announced. With the unveiling of its latest smartphone Galaxy S3, the company hopes to expand its share of the market with their latest generation Android products. Though Apple has not revealed a launch date for the iPhone 5, features like 4G LTE connectivity powered by a 1.5 GHz quadcore A6 processor are keeping demands high. The iPhone 5 is also speculated to include 1GB or RAM, retina display of 1280 x 720 resolutions, and innovative Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. Apple may look to introduce its new liquid metal material into the future lineup of iPhones. The iPhone 5 could see its glass casing replaced with a liquid metal casting that offers strength and scratch resistance. The material will also give the device a liquid smooth finish and gives Apple more flexibility to create unique body shape designs. Recent news of Apple's filed claim to control the domain iphone5.com ahead of its launch which is likely to happen during the World Wide Developers Conference in June or in October. With Apple not yet revealing the possible name of the new iPhone yet, rumors of being called iPhone 5 has been on for quite sometime now. However, there are also possibilities of Apple calling the next iPhone simply "new iPhone." "Apple's pursuit of the iPhone5.com domain is interesting given how slow the company has been to take action to secure domains related to its previous products. Apple didn't gain control of iPhone4.com until nearly a year after that device launched and Apple didn't seek to gain control of iPhone4S.com until several weeks after that device debuted last October," writes MacRumors. wholesale accessories, ipad accessories, iphone accessories, ipod accessories
