Samsung Galaxy S3 Unlocked Version Available For Pre-Order

The Samsung Galaxy S3, which will be launching next week in Europe and this summer in the United States, is now available for pre-order through leading online retailers. Amazon and Expansys have just listed the Galaxy S3, with the former offering the handset at $799.99 through Tailwind International. Expansys, on the other hand, has the Galaxy S3 priced at $694.99. Since the Galaxy S3 will initially be released on May 29, Amazon customers anywhere around the world can expect to receive their phones between June 1 and June 4. Expansys did not provide any turnaround time for shipment. Despite the steep prices, this should be good news for those who can’t wait till their area’s respective release dates for Samsung’s new flagship handset. To be exact, the Galaxy S3 will launch in Europe on May 29 and May 30, and launch dates for Asia and Africa should follow soon after. Customers in South Korea and the United States may have to wait another month from now at least. The Samsung Galaxy S3 will be shipping with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and some of its more prominent features include its 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos processor, 4.8-inch Super AMOLED screen, a 2100 mAh battery and 8-megapixel camera. The 4.8-inch screen on the Galaxy S3 makes it the second largest in Samsung’s lineup, right next to the 5.3-inch Galaxy Note phone/tablet combo.
