Being the more powerful of the two the S3 comes out on top. Both handsets come with an 8 megapixel camera. The front camera on the iPhone 4S is 0.3 megapixels while the one on the S3 is 1.9 megapixels. The Samsung Galaxy S3 also has zero shutter lag and a burst mode. Both of the cameras have the same camera chip and so they should be equally as capable of taking photos in low light conditions. The battery on the Samsung Galaxy S3 is 2100mAh while the one in the iPhone 4S is 1420mAh. This means that typically the battery on the S3 will last for around three times more than that of the iPhone 4S. The battery on the S3 is removable so this makes it a winner there as well. In summary the Samsung Galaxy S3 is a superb device and of course is the newer of the handsets. However with the iPhone 5 being just around the corner it may take over and outdo the S3.
