Samsung Galaxy S III gets updated
For those of you who’ve jumped on board the Galaxy S III bandwagon with the handset’s launch, apparently an update has been pushed out for the phone this morning.
In fact, according to Slashgear, it’s a double update, with a small 30MB download, followed by a 15MB file.
What does it do? Well, its exact purpose is something of a mystery. The changelog simply states that the update brings with it “improved stability”, which, of course, has to be a good thing.
Not that there seemed to be anything wrong with the S III’s stability, anyway, from what we’ve heard.
The update is available over-the-air, and you can grab it via the “software update” option on your phone.
In other Galaxy S III news, the delayed pebble blue version of the smartphone is now available on Vodafone, according to Phones 4U.
The online retailer states the colour is: “Available now on the Vodafone network. All orders placed will be dispatched on the next working day subject to stock availability and credit check.”
Stock for those ordering from O2 and Orange is expected to arrive in the next one to two weeks.
Previously, only the white version of the phone was out, so there will no doubt be an upsurge of sales for those who wanted to get themselves a coloured model. The handset is already selling well enough as it is, having gone straight to number one in Uswitch.com’s UK mobile tracker.
