Samsung Galaxy S3 And IPhone 4S – Screen And Processor Technology Compared
The Samsung Galaxy S3 has only been available for couple of months, but it is already proving to be one of the most popular Android smartphones to date, following in the footsteps of its predecessor the Galaxy S2. The Apple iPhone 4S is also one of the best selling smartphones out there, so in this article I will compare the two by looking at the touch screen technology and processors.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 has one of the most impressive screens to date from the manufacturer. It is also one of the largest at 4.8 inches, and offers superb display quality thanks to a resolution of 720x 1280 which allows it to display high definition content. The screen has a super AMOLED capacitive panel which is similar to that found in its predecessor the Galaxy S2. This technology has several benefits including the consistent brightness, even when in direct sunlight and wide viewing angles. The AppleiPhone 4S is also well known for its screen. One of the biggest differences that you will notice about the screens on these two phones is their size. The 3.5 inch screen of the iPhone 4S is considerably smaller than that of the Samsung offering, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in display quality. This is because the resolution of 640x 160 is packed into the screen’s compact dimensions resulting in a pixel resolution of 330 pixels per inch. Because the pixel density is so fine, the naked eye cannot distinguish between individual pixels, which is how it gets its name of the retina display.
The processor is one of the most important features of a smartphone, although this is often overlooked in favour of features like screens and cameras by people when choosing their next smartphone. Both the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Apple iPhone 4Soffer some of the best processors out there. As it is one of the most recent Android smartphonereleases, the Samsung Galaxy S3 has the most up to date processor technology with a 1.4 GHZ quad-core Exynos CPU making it one of the most powerful smartphones in the world. The iPhone 4Shas a dual-core 1GHz Apple A5 chip, which also offers excellent performance. Both processors showcase the benefits of multi core processors. These include fast download speeds, efficient multitasking and responsive touchscreens.
As the iPhone 4S is an older smartphone, it would be unfair to say that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is better, although on paper it is superior in several respects. Having said that, it still provides one of the best user experiences out there. All in all, these are two very different phones, but they are also two of the best out there. The iPhone 5 is due for release later this year, so the Galaxy S3 may not be at the top of the market for long.
