iPhone 5 release date: Apple’s Ban of Galaxy Tablet Upheld by Court

A U.S. Federal Court Judge Lucy Koh rejected South Korean electronics company Samsung's appeal to lift a ban on the sales of its 10 inch Samsung Galaxy Tablet, after ruling last week that Samsung's Galaxy tablet had violated Apple's patent design. Judge Koh told the Washington Post, "Although Samsung has a right to compete; it does not have a right to compete unfairly, by flooding the market with infringing products." This is second pre-trial injunction Samsung lost. Last week the company's Nexus Galaxy was imposed with a pre-trial ban. Samsung has repealed the injunctions at the Federal Court of Appeals in Washington. However, the ban does not apply to the sales of Galaxy 10.1 II and stores are permitted to sell the Galaxy 10.1 that they possess in stock.
