Samsung Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 5: Can Apple Reach For The Stars?

Apple have just beaten Samsung in the courts over patent infringements, and with the rumored release of the iPhone 5 being just weeks away could they be set to win again in stores by knocking the Samsung Galaxy S3 off the top spot for the best smartphone of 2012. Comparing the two handsets is difficult of course as the iPhone 5 has yet to be released and the specs are unknown. However there has been plenty of rumors going around and so we can use these until something more solid comes about. Samsung Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 5 The iPhone 5 may be coming with a larger screen of 4 inches and it may have a resolution of 1136 x 640. However the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a large 4.8 inch display of 1280 x 720 and this is something that Apple will not be able to beat. It is thought that when the iPhone 5 is released it will run iOS 6. This means that Siri will be updated, as will Facebook integration, Twitter and the new Passbook app. However the Samsung Galaxy S3 is not feature-less either as it has a ton of S-apps alongside more coming with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in a couple of weeks (Project Butter, Google Now, etc). Hence the winner will be determined by which OS you feel more comfortable with. It is thought that the battery of the iPhone 5 will be 1440mAh, but the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a battery of 2100mAh. If the iPhone 5 has the rumored LTE then quite likely the S3 would be the winner as the battery of the iPhone 5 would face major draw from LTE. Furthermore, the iPhone 5 battery is non-removable. We cannot match the processors as not much has been said about the one in the next generation iPhone 5. It is likely that the phones will be around the same for power since Samsung is known to build the processors for Apple’s devices and the last rumors put the iPhone 5 with a quad-core chipset. The iPhone 5 is said to have a new dock connector and this means that any existing accessories will not work with it, unless Apple release an adapter. Samsung on the other hand still have the same connectors they have always had and so it comes out as the winner. Both the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 are believed to come with 8MP cameras and NFC. Which is the best handset will come down to personal preference of course since both smartphones have their own set of strong points that can’t be matched. There will always be diehard fans of each handset who will swear that theirs is the best. For now we have to wait a few more weeks for the release of the iPhone 5 to see what Apple have done with it and for now the Samsung Galaxy S3 is truly out of this world as its name suggests. wholesale accessories, iphone accessories, ipod accessories, ipad accessories
