iPhone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy S3 (Why I Didn’t Wait For Apple)

Rumors abound about the phones due out over the next few months, including the Galaxy Note 2 and the iPhone 5. Until these hit us, there’s the Samsung Galaxy S3, one of the best phones available. The Samsung Galaxy S3 has smashed pre-order records and is one of the fastest smartphones around. So should you run out and grab it or wait for the iPhone 5? iPhone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy S3: Why I didn’t wait for Apple The Samsung Galaxy S3 is that bird in the hand rather than one of the two in the bush. The iPhone 5 isn’t out for at least another month and most likely longer by the time it hits your pocket. The Samsung Galaxy S3 also has some bragging rights under it, outdoing even some iPhone 5 rumors e.g. it sports a 4.8” screen as opposed to Apple’s rumored 4” on the iPhone 5. Another Samsung Galaxy S3 advantage is the option for wireless charging – the iPhone 5 isn’t likely to have this. You can also remove the S3’s large battery, whereas the iPhone 5’s smaller battery is fixed and – well, smaller. The iPhone 5 isn’t expected to have an external SD card like the Samsung Galaxy S3, which is annoying if you’re like me and take a lot of pictures and video. The Samsung Galaxy S3 has HDMI outputs for hooking up to a HDTV, but we’ve heard nothing about this from Apple so far. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is headed for the S3 before the year is up, bringing Google Now and an update for S-Voice with it. The S-Voice is more pleasing to the ear than Siri, so we’re told. Apple fans are going to love the iPhone 5 regardless, but it’s not going to outdo the Samsung Galaxy S3 in any big way from a software or hardware point – they’ll be level pegging. I’m quite impartial in terms of OS, but since buying a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 last week, I’m liking it a lot. Whether I will regret my decision when the iPhone 5 launches remains to be seen, but judging from the Galaxy S / iPhone battles from the past two years, you can’t go wrong with either one of their products. wholesale accessories, iphone accessories, ipad accessories, ipod accessories
