Samsung Galaxy S3 Release Date: Should We Expect Galaxy S2 Plus Instead on May 3?

The upcoming Samsung event in London on May 3 is widely expected to be the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S3, the company's next flagship device. However, there are no guarantees: it's entirely possible an improved Samsung Galaxy S2 will launch. The possibility of another S2 device came when Samsung Denmarkposted a teaser on Facebook, which mentions the event date - May 3 - and a time: 20:00 hours. At the beginning of the time and date was a plus - "+" - icon, so could Samsung unveil an improved Samsung Galaxy S2? The I9300 codename was also linked with a Samsung Galaxy S2 "plus," along with the S3. Also, the "plus" could mean an AMOLED Plus screen. As for the Samsung Galaxy S3, a video from Vietnamese site Tinhte - which has since been taken down, but rehosted on Engadget - shows what is claimed to be the Samsung Galaxy S3, or the GT-I9300. The site says that the phone has a 4.6-inch display at a 720x1184 resolution - which is roughly 320 DPI - with a quad-core, 1.4GHz processor. Along with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the phone includes 1GB of RAM, an eight megapixel camera, 16GB of storage and microSD card support. There's no word on whether the Super AMOLED Plus display will feature on the new Galaxy device. Other specs are a 2,050mAh battery - which would be needed for a high resolution 4.6-inch display - and NFC support. However, the final form factor isn't shown in the video: a plastic rim encases the actual design, a surprise to be unveiled at the Samsung event on May 3 (if that's what Samsung is showing off). "We will be able to tell you more at the 2012 Samsung Mobile Unpacked," the company said when asked for clarification on the video. That statement seems to suggest May 3 will introduce the S3, and the true design. This isn't the first time Tinhte has leaked information about Samsung products. The Web site had revealed information on a seven-inch Samsung tablet device back in June 2010. In the same year, it also revealed information about an upcoming MacBook refresh. wholesale accessories, iphone accessories, ipod accessories, ipad accessories
