iPhone 5 Release Date: Apple Should Launch in September, Says Analyst

The highly anticipated new iPhone, commonly dubbed as "iPhone 5" in the public, should be launched in September, said J.P. Morgan analyst Mark Moskowitz to CNET. Although the Cupertino-based tech giant did not comment on the release date of the next generation of its smartphone, rumors suggest a fall launch following the release of the company's new mobile operating system, iOS 6, which was introduced earlier this month at WWDC 2012. Moskowitz predicts the iPhone sales to drop in the third quarter and that Apple will come out with new product in September to set a new record, dominating the 2013 market. "We think that a combination of revolutionary hardware enhancements and software-driven services stand to reaffirm the iPhone as the leading smartphone in 2013," Moskowitz wrote in an investors note out today as CNET reported. The iPhone 5 is rumored have a larger screen than the previous models. While all previous iPhone's had 3.5-inch screen with 4:3 ratio, the new iPhone is expected to have a 4.0-inch screen with 16:9 ratio. Compared to its Android-based competitor smartphones, who are coming out with up to 4.8-inch screen, it may be likely for Apple to make a change from its traditional design. The hardware may also have revolutionized its camera in the new device, making the lens replaceable. Another rumor suggests that charging dock became smaller, from 30-pin dock to 19-pin. As for its operating system, the iOS 6, which Apple announced to release this fall, is expected to sport iPhone 5. One of the biggest difference would be its Maps, which Apple has developed on its own to replace Google Maps its default mapping service. Apple Maps will have 3D viewing as well as turn-by-turn navigation. The Siri voice service will also see some upgrade, and more integration with other third-party services are planned, such as Facebook and Yelp "check-in". The near-field-communications (NFC) that turns iPhone into an "iWallet" and 4G LTE are also rumored to be featured at the new smartphone. When the new iPhone is launched, could this put Samsung Galaxy S3 to shame? Samsung launched its Galaxy S3 last month in Europe and last week in United States. The new device from South Korea has a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED screen and two cameras, 8- and 1.9-megapixel, that are capable of taking HD video. It has 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 2GB RAM and sports Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. In Europe, it is already breaking records that previous Apple iPhone has set. In United States, the phone will be available in five major wireless carriers, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular. Is Apple going to come out with something spectacular to end Samsung's dream of taking away Apple's throne? We shall find out this fall. sex gadget, sex toy, adult toy
