Apple to launch new iPad in 30 additional countries this weekend

Apple will launch its new iPad in 30 additional countries this weekend, including Brazil, Chile, Egypt and Jamaica. Apple's iPad selection page for Latin America shows that the new iPad will be arriving in 13 new countries on Friday 11 May, which are Argentina, Aruba, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Curacao Ecuador, French Guiana, Guandeloupe, Jamaica, Martinique and Peru. MacRumors reports that several other countries will also see the launch of the new iPad this weekend. On 11 May, the new iPad will arrive in Botwana, Cambodia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malta, Mauritius, Morocco, Peru, Taiwan, Tunisia and Vietnam. On 12 May Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates will be able to get their hands on Apple's latest tablet. Apple has not yet launched the new iPad in Honduras, Indonesia, Micargua, Paraguay and the Philippines, but the iPad 2 is being sold at a lower price in those countries while the company awaits certification to sell its third-generation tablet. The new iPad is also not yet available to buy in China's mainland due to ongoing iPad trademark lawsuits in the country.
