Samsung Galaxy S3 Release Date Is May 29th

Samsung Galaxy S3 was finally unveiled in London, during Samsung Unpacked event that begun at 19:00 BST. Some of the rumors that landed ahead of the launching event were confirmed, from the size of the display to design and camera capabilities. So, let’stake a look at Samsung’s flagship technical specifications and the Galaxy S3 release date. First of all the event begun at the scheduled hours along with great music performed by the London philharmonic and some skilled MCs. Returning to the magnificent Samsung Galaxy S3, the device is indeed codenamed Samsung I9300 (as previous rumors informed), and the smartphone comes with a 4.8-inch display, with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, HD Super AMOLED technologyand Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The terminal is only 8.6 mm thick, weighs in 133 grams and the design was inspired by mixing river rock with shell. The terminal supports HSDPA connectivity with speeds of up to 21 Mbps, LTE (where available) and it uses a quad-core Exynos 4 Quad chipset developed on 32 nm technology, clocked at 1.4 GHz. Its the Exynos 4212 SoC Samsung officials confirmed ahead of the launch, helped by a Mali 400 MP GPU. Samsung Galaxy S III sports 1 GB of RAM, is running on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, it comes with 16/32/64 GB of internal storage and microSD card slot for extra memory. There’s an 8 megapixel camera mounted on the back of the device, with face detection, touch focus, image stabilization and full HD 1080p video recording at 30 fps support. The primary camera comes with LED flash and is doubled by a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. The new Samsung flagship has a 2,100 mAh battery that’s more capable than the one installed on, let’s say, Galaxy Nexus. The handset offers Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, it comes with GPS, Glonass support, radio FM and NFC. Samsung Galaxy S3 will debut on certain markets of Europe on May 29th, and will probably hit some more in early June. What impressed me even more is the ultra quick “mechanism” of the camera, which promises “zero shutter lag” and the possibility of resiezing videos and move them on the screen while performing other tasks. There were also presented some interesting accessories for Samsung Galaxy S III, like a wireless recharging dock and all kinds of cases and new cradels. I can’t say I am surprised by Samsung Galaxy S III, as 90% of its technical specifications and its round edges leaked ahead of the official launch. Besides the impressive hardware specifications, Galaxy S3 introduces a series of useful and amazing features, like S Voice, a voice control system comparable with Apple’s Siri or Direct Call, a feature that once you automatically calls the person you are texting with. The list continues with a feature called Smart Stay that automatically turns off the display when you’re looking away from it. The list may continue and all the features come to improve the user experience. What do you think about the new Samsung Galaxy S3?
