iPhone 5 Release Date: iCloud and Safari 6 at WWDC with iPhone 5 Rumors Eyed for Future

So, the WWDC is this week and the iPhone 5 release date is looming but not likely. We’re all hoping for some sort of news or rumors of the iPhone 5 release at the WWDC, but what seems more likely are some the things we’ve been hearing, and a few new ones: iOS6, Safari 6, Siri, Apple Maps and iCloud updates that could tie in to Apple TV. What IS exciting is how these could impact an iPhone 5 release date for later this year. iPhone 5 Release Date As far this week’s upcoming Worldwide Developer’s Conference (WWDC), there’s fresh news / rumors / speculation about what we’ll see there. The juiciest rumor so far is the iCloud update, something that could weigh in on all sorts of Apple products (not just the iPhone) and services, like what is believed to be an iTunes redesign, the looming Apple TV prospect, as well as how we all consume movies, music and TV shows through Apple products. MacRumors has a photo of an iCloud banner from the WWDC set up, so this likes a sure bet. Even if we don’t see the the Apple TV set (longshot) or the updated Apple TV set-top box (medium shot), an iCloud update could throw the doors open on letting people create Apple TV apps for the existing set up. It would also set things up nicely in preparation for a future Apple TV set or revamped Apple TV service.Jonathan Geller at BGR reports that “We have heard from a source that Apple will be introducing a TV SDK at WWDC next week. This would enable third-party developers to create software for Apple’s TV products.” Bold prediction. A revamped iCloud doesn’t have to stop there, either. We’ve hardly even seen Apple push iCloud apps on iPhone and iPad users, so far it’s been more like an introduction. The iPad 3 and an iPhone 5 release could benefit greatly from more third-party iCloud apps for using music, photos, documents, etc. iCloud and Siri are probably the most untapped Apple products right now, and have the greatest potential for future use. Tantalizing prospects so far include the (cat’s out of the bag) iOS6, which a lot of people already understand as being part of the show. Today brings light of Safari 6 being launched as well, with the Chinese Forum site WeiPhone.com already posting links to the Safari 6 SDK. 9to5Mac points out that “The site was able to leak this same software links last year correctly, so we’re taking these links seriously.” Any iPhone 5 release would benefit from these Computerworld is considering iOS6 as well, with enhancements to Siri as a possibility. Facebook is widely expected in iOS6 as well, left out last time due to deadlines and Ping issues. The Apple 3D Maps is widely on the table as a new way for Apple to engage users on the iPhone and take people away from Google Maps. MacBook Pro and MacBook Air are expected to be revamped at the WWDC as well. An iPhone 5 release date could tap into fresh prospects of Apple Maps and Siri to guide you to a destination with a higher level of engagement. iPhone 5 Rumors and Features There’s a whole slew of rumors right now about what iPhone 5 features will be included. There are a few favorites right now, namely the 4 inch screen. The video below shows a new part for the back of an iPhone 5 that’s longer and has more ports added to it. The specs show that it is longer and slimmer, so the 4 inch screen theory gains credibility; plus there’s what looks like a smaller dock port, which gives credibility to the new dock connector idea. The sim card looks different, too. It looks like the headphone jack has been moved to the bottom of the iPhone as well. This would be a smart move ... anyone who has put the phone down on their desk while working knows that the cord on the top gets in the way, but you have to keep the iPhone right-side up to operate the screen. CONFLICTED! This new feature should be especially handy. All in all, if the iPhone 5 video proves true, that we should be set for a number of new specs and features in the next version. Check out the comments on MacRumors on this video, there’s a consensus that if it’s a fake, it’s a really good one. wholesale accessories, ipad accessories, ipod accessories, iphone accessories
